CNSC 101: An Information Session for Stakeholders
Session Description
“CNSC 101: An Information Session for Stakeholders” travels from coast to coast to coast, visiting Canadians in their communities, and answering their questions on how we regulate the nuclear industry safely.
CNSC 101 outlines how Canada’s nuclear regulator provides regulatory oversight to ensure the safety and security of the nuclear sector and its activities, including: nuclear power plants, uranium mines and mills, nuclear waste management, nuclear medicine, manufacture of medical isotopes and certain industrial equipment containing nuclear substances, and transportation of radioactive materials.
The sessions are offered in one of the two official languages, depending on their location. Presentation material is provided in the language of instruction, however, bilingual material is available upon request. Attendees will be able to participate in the session in the official language of their choice.
